Due to limited staffing, public holidays (Ascension Day and Pentecost), and a high influx of backorders, order processing is currently delayed.

Product specifications

Product description

Grade A: They are sorted by capacity.
Capacity: 280 Ah
Maximum discharge rate: 1C (280A)
Size: 72 mm x 207.5 mm x 172.5 mm
This is a 3.2V LiFePO4 cell.
The cells have a lifespan (to 80% capacity) of 8000 cycles when used with a pressure of 280–320 kg and charged at 0.5C (0.05C termination current to 3.65V), 0.5C discharge (to 2.5V).
With busbars.
With (aftermarket) studs.
22.5 cm height including mounted studs, busbars, and nuts.
Capacity report available.

Note: The internal resistance (IR) was measured before the terminals were added. Voltage and current probes were placed on opposite sides of the terminal. Typically, cell temperature during measurement is around 25°C.
Placing the probes closer together, measuring at the studs, or conducting measurements at lower cell temperatures will result in higher IR values.

  1. Lost 20 amp hours of capacity in 8 months of frugal use
    Rating
    40%
I ordered these cells on the 5th of July last year and received them in the autumn. In 7.5 to 8 months of usage with the following parameters: Float 53.8, low 4,8, bulk 55.5, batteries are down to 261aH in capacity. And I only discharged and charged them when we had an electricity outage. Totally charged for 906.9 kWh, and recharged 72 times. Somehow, marketed as brand new cells, lost 20 amp hours of capacity in 8 months of frugal use. I use Daly Smart BMS LiFePo4 16S 48V 150aH BMS, and Daly BMS 5A Balancing Board 16S. Keep this in mind before ordering them.

  2. 2 out of 8 give sproblems
    Rating
    40%
Sadly, 2 out of 8 cells gives me low voltage disconnect... looks like cells are a lot different in capacity or much higher IR. Cause the same 2 cells always lowest voltage (last to charge) and first to discharge. it's not grade A-, but grade B.

Orde 8 battery's, one of them takes charge, but after current shutting down voltage on battery dropped to 3.4 volts and BMS can't balance it.
I'm write to the seller, and after few days and couple of test's NKon send me a new one battery

It took a long time from order to delivery, but it was worth it. The batteries are all the same size, the charge on all of them is around 3.2V, the resistance is around 0.09 mOhm. To the seller of successful sales!

  8. Nice cells for the price
    Rating

I preordered these cells early Sept 2024 and received them just over 10 weeks later. They do seem to be genuine LF280K v3 with original QR codes which can be scanned in iPhone camera app to produce the full text string for sending to NKON so the capacity report spreadsheet can be emailed back to you.

Having done this I learned my 8 cells had production dates around Nov 2023, capacities between 319 and 322Ah and IR at 3.295V of 0.150 and 0.154milliOhms. As calendar ageing is the predominant factor limiting cell lifespan (greater even than cycling), I am not delighted to receive one year old cells, but the price of these cells was around 20 euros per cell less than the dual terminal LF280k v3 which NKON sell, so I consider some imperfection to be priced into the deal and accept that.

The physical condition looks great, with flat sides to the cells and a resting voltage on delivery of 3.304V per cell. The single stud terminals provide a fairly small surface area for the busbar to contact. Not an issue in my setup but maybe a consideration if you want to use a 12V inverter which will push the limits of the discharge C rate.

  10. One cell is swollen

One lithium phosphate cell is swollen 3mm. Other 15 cells are good. Voltage 3.3 all.
QR code said that cells are B grade and are producem in 02/2024. I didn't test capacity.
