The EVE MB31 Single stud is a rechargeable prismatic lithium iron phosphate cell (LiFePO4) rated at 314 Ah and 3.2 V, offered as Grade A. The cells are sorted by capacity. The nominal storage capacity is 1004.8 Wh per cell. The model is intended for home batteries and other stationary storage systems.
A battery bank of 16 MB31 cells connected in series has a nominal voltage of 51.2 V and a calculated storage capacity of approximately 16.1 kWh.
This version has studs fitted after manufacture and comes with busbars. With studs, busbars and nuts fitted, the total height is 22.5 cm. A capacity report is available.
The charge and discharge rate is 0.5P at 25 ± 2 °C, equivalent to 502.4 W at the nominal storage capacity. This is not a fixed maximum current of 157 A. The recommended compression force is 3000–7000 N. The 8000 cycles down to 70% remaining capacity apply according to the prescribed EVE cycle test and clamping setup at 25 °C.
Note: The internal resistance (IR) was measured before the terminals were fitted. Voltage and current probes were placed on opposite sides of the terminal. The cell temperature during measurement is usually around 25°C.
Placing the probes closer together, measuring at the terminals or taking measurements at lower cell temperatures will result in higher IR values.
